Success in South & South East in Bloom Awards
*

Battle has once again done well in the South and South East in Bloom competition. The garden at The Almonry received a Gold Award and the cemetery gained a Silver Gilt Award. Battle Town Council, together with a voluntary group called Beautiful Battle, maintains these two areas. Beautiful Battle achieved a 'Thriving Award' in the 'It's your neighbourhood' section. This is a Royal Horticultural Society community gardening campaign that aims to help people make lasting improvements to their local area. The Jubilee Garden, also maintained by Beautiful Battle, received a 'Thriving Award' too.
